Mormon Superbowl

October 7, 2013

I wish I had five hours to tell you all about this past week because it has been absolutely amazing in the strangest of ways, but unfortunately I don't have that kind of time! So a somewhat vague but quick summary:

To begin with, we had some pretty rough bumps throughout the week. Two people told us they didn't want to talk with us anymore, which is always heartbreaking, but you know what? We've had the sweetest tender mercies sprinkled throughout the week as well. Heavenly Father was so aware of our hardships. He sent several people to uplift and help us, and helped us to find those who really needed the gospel message in their lives. We also got to do a service project for a golf course on Thursday!! We dug a sand pit. Lots of digging, lots of Holes references, lots of singing (Poccahontas came to mind).

On Friday we got our transfer call... unfortunately, Sister Nuttall is leaving us tomorrow for Bay City. :( Buuut we're welcoming Sister Dixon into our trio also, and we're very excited to have her!! I've spent a day with Sister Dixon and she's amazing. We have a ridiculous amount of connections through BYU and even through my MTC district. Serio. And wait for it....... she's also a Visa waiter for Brazil!! So we get to practicar nossa lingua!! I'm so excited to speak Portuguese again, it'll be great.

Of course, the week ended on a FANTASTIC note, because it was General Conference... aka Mormon Superbowl. It. Was. So. Good. I went in with three questions and prayed super hard about receiving answers... and got an overabundance of answers from just about every speaker!! It's such an incredible experience. They spoke a lot on sunday about families and about enduring through trials... definitely recommend you give it a watch, it's truly inspiring.

I hope you all have a wonderful week! Muito amor!
